FAQ'S

The preference is yours! We have beginners who start every single day and jump straight in to our group classes! Our instructors always offer different spring guides and intensity modifications so you will be able to go at your own pace at all times.
Our Reformer (all levels) class is the best to start with! If you feel like having a stretch first, jump in to a Stretch & Release class- you won’t regret it!
Our $49 Intro Offer provides clients with 4 classes to use in a space of 2 weeks (starting from the date of purchase) and is the perfect opportunity to get to know our team, sample a range of different class types and build confidence on the reformer. To get the most out of your Intro Offer, we recommend attending 2 sessions per week. With a couple of days of recovery between each session, you’ll strike the perfect balance and feel the benefits.
Yes, please book yourself in to a class before your first visit so that you have reserved yourself a reformer. The best place to start would be to download our Muse app. From here, you can create an account, purchase a pass and book yourself in all from the one place!
Please be sure to arrive 10 minutes before your first class starts so that the instructor can give you a rundown of the reformer (it’s not as intimidating as it looks, promise!). Tight-fitting clothing is always best so that the instructor can keep an eye on your form. Apart from yourself, you only need to bring a pair of socks and perhaps a bottle of water.

Muse accepts pregnant clients up to 14 weeks. When pregnant, from the 14 week mark your movement and Pilates journey should be more tailored to your personal needs. For those past 14 weeks, we offer private sessions where you can book a time for just yourself, or with a friend. During each session, you will have focused time with one of our experienced instructors that can personalise the exercises for your needs.

For those with injuries, you are able to attend as you have been cleared by your treating practitioner. Make sure to let your instructor know of your injury before each class.

If a class is currently fully booked, it will be ‘waitlisted’. You are welcome to join the waitlist and if a spot becomes available for you, you will be placed in the class and notified. Make sure you have your communication preferences switched on!
Cancellations/ rescheduling classes need to be made more than 9 hours prior to the class starting. We do understand that sometimes unforeseeable circumstances can arise, but we have to be strict, consistent and fair with all clients. Therefore, NO exceptions will be made to this policy. If you fail to attend a booked class, or otherwise seek to cancel your booking within 9 hours of the class starting, you forfeit that class, or if you are on an Unlimited Membership you will be charged a cancellation fee of $15.
Depending on the membership you are on, you have access to up to 8 weeks worth of holds per calendar year. We just require a minimum of 7 days notice via email, and that holds are taken in 7 day increments starting at your direct debit day.
Your Class Pass/ Membership is specific to the studio where it was purchased only. Those on Platinum Membership can upgrade to a ‘Passport’ Membership which grants access to 2 studios of your choice for an additional $5 per week. Please email your studio for further information.

Reformer Pilates is on a bed-like frame that uses different weighted spring combinations to create resistance when we move the carriage back and forth. Using a reformer means you can target those small muscle groups, which helps to form long, lean muscles. You can do more exercises than what’s possible on the mat and have a play with a wide range of movements – from sitting and lying on your back or side to balancing on your knees and using your feet.

Texts are particularly handy when you are on a waitlist and are waiting for a notification about your waitlisted class. If you have selected to receive emails from Muse Pilates Studio, please ensure the emails are not going into junk mail and save Muse Pilates Studio to your contact list.
